We Do NOT Sell Your Personal Information

ClarityRadar does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. The subscription fee you pay is the only commercial value we receive from you. We have not sold personal information in the last 12 months and have no plans to begin selling.

Your Privacy Choices at a Glance

  • Delete your account anytime — self-service, in your Account Dashboard (token-confirmed via email).
  • Request access, correction, or exclusion by emailing privacy@clarityradar.com.
  • Opt out of analytics & marketing cookies via the cookie banner on first visit (or by clearing cookies).

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Per CCPA §1798.100 and §1798.110, here are the categories of personal information we have collected about consumers in the last 12 months:

  • Identifiers: Email address, account ID, IP address, device identifiers, browser fingerprint
  • Customer records: Name (if you provide it), country, language preference, payment information (processed and stored by Stripe — we never see full card numbers)
  • Commercial information: Subscription plan, billing cycle, transaction history (amount, currency, status, timestamps)
  • Internet or other electronic activity: Search queries you submit (phone numbers, photos), search results we cached for you, account login/logout timestamps, page views
  • Geolocation: Approximate location derived from IP (country, region) — never precise GPS
  • Inferences: Subscription preferences, churn risk, locale preferences

⚠️ Sensitive personal information (biometric — facial features in photos): collected only briefly during photo search, hashed for matching, raw photos deleted within 72 hours per our retention policy. Photo search is geo-blocked entirely in: the United States (all 50 states + DC), the European Union (all 27 member states), the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway), the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Australia, South Africa, and Quebec (Canada). In these jurisdictions the photo upload feature is disabled at both the user interface and backend API levels — biometric data is not processed regardless of consent.

Categories of Sources

We collect personal information from: (a) you directly when you create an account, subscribe, or submit a search; (b) automatically through cookies, log files, and analytics tools when you use our website; (c) public databases and websites when you submit a search query (we relay queries to public-record search providers and return results to you).

Business and Commercial Purposes

We use personal information to: (a) provide and maintain the Services you subscribe to; (b) process payments and prevent fraud; (c) send you service-related emails (trial reminders, payment confirmations, renewal notices); (d) respond to support requests; (e) comply with legal obligations including tax, FCRA disclaimers, and law-enforcement requests; (f) improve and secure the Services. We do NOT use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, profiling for credit/employment/housing decisions, or to build profiles of individuals other than for the immediate search you request.

Categories of Third Parties Who Receive Personal Information

We share limited personal information with the following processor categories, only as needed to operate the Services:

  • Payment processor: Stripe — receives your name, email, billing address, card information for payment processing. Bound by GDPR Article 28 Data Processing Agreement.
  • Email service providers: Resend and Amazon SES — receive your email address and message content for transactional emails (trial reminders, receipts, etc.). Bound by DPAs.
  • Infrastructure providers: Cloudflare (DNS, WAF), Cloudflare R2 (file storage for photo blobs deleted within 72h) — receive technical traffic metadata. Bound by DPAs.
  • Analytics & marketing: Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Ahrefs Analytics — only loaded after you accept cookies via the banner. Receive page interaction events.
  • Public-record search providers: We relay your search queries to upstream public-record providers (e.g., reverse-lookup data brokers). They return results we display to you. We do not transfer additional personal information about you to them beyond the query itself.

Your Rights Under CCPA / CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under CCPA (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.100 et seq.) and CPRA amendments. Equivalent rights are also offered to all users regardless of residency.

Right to Know (Access)

Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed it. Submit by email; we respond within 45 days.

Right to Delete

Request deletion of personal information we hold about you. Use the self-service "Delete Account" button in your Account Dashboard (token-confirmed via email, deletion within minutes), or email privacy@clarityradar.com. Transaction records are anonymized rather than deleted, as required by tax-record retention laws (7 years US, 3 years UA).

Right to Correct

Request correction of inaccurate personal information. Most fields you can update directly in Account Settings; for fields you cannot edit, email privacy@clarityradar.com.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no active sale to opt out of. If you wish to be excluded from future search results matching your specific phone number or email, email privacy@clarityradar.com with the data point — we add it to a manual exclusion list within 45 days.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

We do not use sensitive personal information (biometric, precise geolocation, race, etc.) for any purpose beyond the immediate search service you request. Photo search is geo-blocked across the entire US, EU, EEA, UK, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Australia, South Africa, and Quebec regardless of consent (see the biometric note above for the full list). There is no additional opt-out needed in those jurisdictions because the feature is fully disabled.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights. Exercising your rights will not affect your account standing.

How to Submit a Request

Email privacy@clarityradar.com with: your full name, the email address associated with your account (if any), the specific request (Access / Delete / Correct / Opt-Out / Limit), and any additional context to help us locate your data. We confirm receipt within 10 days and respond substantively within 45 days. We may extend the response period by an additional 45 days if reasonably necessary, with notice to you.

Verification of Your Identity

To protect your information, we will verify your identity before fulfilling Access, Delete, or Correct requests. We may ask you to confirm details on file (e.g., the email of your account, the date you registered, recent transaction details). For deletion via the Account Dashboard, identity is verified through your authenticated session plus a confirmation token sent to your email (1-hour expiry).

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorization signed by you, and we may require you to verify your identity directly with us before processing the request.

Notice at Collection

We collect the categories of personal information described above. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described — typically: account data while your account is active plus a reasonable period after; search results cached for 30 days; raw photos deleted within 72 hours; transaction records 7 years for tax compliance; security and fraud-prevention logs for limited periods.
